Congratulations to you, the betting public, for one of the best NFL Sundays vs. the books — ever.
ESPN’s David Purdum reports:
Nevada industry sources estimated the state’s sportsbooks lost in the range of $7 million to $10 million overall on Sunday.
Easy covers by the Vikings, Steelers and Chiefs sealed the books’ fate.
More on the good news here from Purdum — including that it was the third strong weekend in a row for bettors.
Now for Dave Tuley’s View From Vegas ATS report on NFL Week 9:

Season-long stats since we’ve passed halfway point:
- Underdogs lead 69-60-2 ATS (53.5%) with 2 games closing pick ‘em
- Home teams are 65-63-2 ATS with 3 London games not counted

SuperContest Gold Top 5 is 3-1 as LAR were No. 5 choice and also has TEN +6.5 on MNF
Personal Gourmet will be SuperContest leader after Week 9; Personal Gourmet is 3-1 this week (35-8 overall) w/ TEN +6.5 remaining.
SuperContest Gold leader will be determined by MNF.
From Purdum: A customer at MGM went 2-1 with $100,000 bets on the Chiefs -8.5, Redskins -1.5 (loss) and Patriots -6.
(No reports on Duffel Bag Bettor after his 1-3 Saturday on college football.)
MNF: Titans (+4.5) at Cowboys (8:20 p.m. ET, ESPN)
A 4.5-spread doesn’t seem like much to cover, but the Titans’ offense is almost as bad as it can get, writes Jeff Fogle.
