Josh Appelbaum’s Market Insights

The Patriots are the most polarizing team going into 2020. Some expect them to fall flat on their face without Brady. Others think coach Bill Belichick will keep it together with bubble gum and scotch tape like he did in 2008 when New England went 11-5 under Matt Cassel. It all depends on what you think of Tom Brady’s likely replacement under center: Jarrett Stidham. Can the 2nd year pro and former 4th round pick out of Auburn play? If so, there’s hope in Foxborough. If not, it could be a long season. CONTINUE READING.

Bill’s Vegas Insights

Some members of Team VSiN and I headed downtown Thursday for a field trip to the Circa Resort and Hotel construction site. VSiN will have a studio looking out over the majestic three-story sportsbook, which has a certain "Tiger Stadium facade" look to it.

Wait till you see it.

Owner Derek Stevens announced this week that the first five floors — which include the sportsbook, the casino, the restaurants and the over-the-top pool — will open Oct. 28. The hotel itself will be ready before the end of the year.

I wish I could show you "before" photos, but the renderings on the Circa website will have to suffice for now. GO HERE. (Reservations open June 24.)
